Back in early June, John wrote about his latest trip to America and mentioned his chance meeting with Esther from Napa Valley, who he had meet the previous year. She was wearing the Americarna cap given to her by John that previous meeting.
Esther had spotted her mention in our news and kindly took the time to send us an email and photo. We thought we would share it with you all.
Hello John, It was nice to see you at Pleasanton again. What a nice surprise to read about our chance meeting in your June newsletter - thank you for the mention. As you saw, I really do wear the AmeriCARna cap. Late last summer, while attending a show in Calistoga, I was approached by a couple who had been to Taranaki - they noticed the 'Taranaki' on the back of my cap. They had visited their son who worked at Magoo's Street Rods and later sent me the name of the B&B where they stayed. Here is a photo of me and my husband, Scott (with our 1934 Ford Cabriolet), in Pleasanton at the GoodGuys event. Next weekend we are attending a show in Yountville and I'll be wearing the colorful red, white and blue AmeriCARna cap. Independence Day Greetings from Napa Valley, California. Esther Dungan. |
