Well, the second full week of the rebuild has seen good progress made........
The interior has been painted with a special epoxy product supplied by Total Paints. This stuff sticks like you wouldn't believe and offers a unique protection guarantee. For more info on this, email Tony at tony@totalpaints.co.nz . The under floor bulk head and enginee bay are ready for painting. Last night we turned my workshop into a spray booth ready to paint over the weekend. Overspray is not what I want everywhere!
Wayne has finished the floor alteration to accept the 5 speed Tremac along with the mods to the gear box mount. Spuds welded to hold the new rear subframe for the four link and coil over units. All unwanted holes in the engine bay have been welded, cross flow radiator brackets mounted, so all in all by the time next week rolls around the rear suspension and front will be fitted. The photos next week will be some what more interesting.
Our 392 Cu engine has been delivered to Engine Dynamics in Ardmore to have the sump changed and injection fitted. Hopefully we get that next week or the project comes to a major slow down.
After searching the internet I haven't been able to find a set of headers I like so, Engine Dynamics who built the exhaust for my race car will build it. Nothing worse than a good looking car that sounds like c--p!!
