The car has been in Auckland for three weeks now. Ron from Custom Autoglass has fitted the new windscreen which included painting a special sealer around where the screen fits to insure rust won't become a problem. Ron reported once he removed the screen there was no sign of rust which pleased me .... you never know with these old cars.

| Ron's attention to detail was awesome. His company Custom Autoglass will have a trade display at Americarna, so make sure you check out his handy work and what they supply. |
The drive shaft is made and the exhaust just about complete. Craig has advised the engine is coming out Friday and he will fit the troublesome manifold and all the front assembly. The refit of the engine will be on Monday. I offered to go up to 'assist' but was told I was not required. My kids have always said I'm a control freak so I think they might be right as I hate not being in control.
With Americarna Taranaki not far away I'm still hopeful the car will make it!
Next weeks pictures will show the completed engine in the car. Tuesday the car goes to C & M Performance for Carl to work his magic on the wiring and hard lines for the aircon. In the meantime Kelly at Stitches should have received the balance of the trim to at least get the seats done.
Until next week
Cheers
JR
