I have just returned from Pleasanton where I attended the GoodGuys May event. It was a good car show with one area dedicated to cars for sale. There must have been 150 plus for sale. Anyway we bought one, a 1971 Mustang Convertible which will be our giveaway car for our 2010 event....
I meet up with Kirk Jones who had a copy of the July GoodGuys Gazette which features Americarna 2009. Again Kirk has excelled, his photos are amazing along with comments on the event. He will be back in 2010.
Walking into my Hotel on the Sunday, I spotted a lady wearing a 2008 Americarna cap. It was Esther from Napa who we met last August at Pleasanton and gave her a cap. She tells us she wears it to every event her and her husband attend. Well done Ester! Hopefully they will come down and attend an Americarna sometime.
The purpose of the quick trip was to lock down the loose ends for our August Tour. It's going to be a full on week so if you are keen, we have a couple of spots left. Email admin@americarna.com and we can send you the itinerary.
Entries are rolling in for Taranaki 2010, so we are pleased with the response. We believe we will meet our target of 800 cars without any trouble.
We are working on a second event and should be able to confirm this late June, early July. You will be the first to know.
So get your entry in for Taranaki in February, if you haven't already.
