Where has the year gone? November already!

We're still chipping away putting the final touches on our February event. We have had some dinner vouchers offered by two local restaurants and another approach this week so we will be drawing random entrant numbers to hand these out Wednesday and Thursday morning........

Recently you participated in a survey which allowed us to gain a better insight into what you "the entrants" would like to see more (or less) of........

I've just returned from a quick trip to the US to sort out a few things.  I did a stop by Kiwi Shipping/Mainfreight HQ and looked at the new shipping facility they will be using in the next few weeks.  Trust me, if you're planning on shipping a vehicle or items back from the US then Steve Curle and his team are the people to call.  An amazing facility which is just perfect for loading containers.  I met all the team and what a great bunch of people.

Judging by the texts, emails and phone calls, a number of you saw the Americarna and JRI staff on Close Up last Thursday night.  For those that didn't, all the staff got dressed in red, white and blue in preparation for the USA/Russia RWC game. Naturally we were thrilled to see USA win........

Americarna Invercargill got underway with Registration opening at the Bill Richardson Truck museum at 10:00am, Wednesday 23rd March.  The morning saw a number of local entrants come to collect their event info. When the out of town 'convoyers' arrived around lunch time, it was all on and the next few hours were crazy while we pumped out Registration folders............

Since the February 22nd earthquake in Christchurch Americarna has been collecting donations from our supporters for the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal. On the 22nd March we were very pleased to deliver $7307 directly to the Red Cross in Christchurch. A huge thank you to the following people..........

The Hutt event kicked off on Wednesday 23rd February with Registration and Merchandise opening at 12.00noon at the Petone Working Mens Club.  There was a steady stream of entrants arriving to collect their event info right from the start..........
